
Visiting Policy Fellow. Kim is an Associate Professor of Nutrition in Pediatrics and the Institute of Human Nutrition (IHN) at Columbia University Medical Center, where she directs the IHN’s Master of Science in Nutrition program. She also serves as Associate Director of Education for the medical school’s program in Education in Global and Population Health.
Currently, Kim is a Visiting Policy Fellow at APRI Armenia and an advisor to the Minister of Health of Armenia on nutrition policies, perinatal care reforms, and initiatives to improve maternal mortality, cesarean section rates, and exclusive breastfeeding practices.
Previously, she was the Associate Director of the MPH Program and founder of the Center for Health Services Research at the American University of Armenia (AUA), where she continues to teach and mentor MPH students.
Kim earned her PhD in Health Policy from Johns Hopkins University, specializing in Behavioral Science and Health Education. Her research focuses on maternal and child nutrition, with a particular emphasis on infant feeding practices.
