APRI Armenia Engages Students in a Discussion on Armenia’s Foreign Policy Diversification

On November 11, APRI Armenia hosted an interactive discussion on the “Diversification of Armenian Foreign Policy and Changing Regional Geopolitics” with students specializing in International Affairs and Political Sciences at various Armenian universities.

During the event, APRI Armenia’s Senior Research Fellow, Benyamin Poghosyan, presented the Institute’s report “Armenia’s Foreign Policy after the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War: Diversification in the Post-Unipolar World,” outlining its key messages and main findings, which served as the foundation for the discussion.

A panel discussion followed, featuring APRI Armenia Fellows Benyamin Poghosyan, Nvard Chalikyan, and Sergei Melkonian, and moderated by Greta Avetisyan, APRI Armenia’s Communications Manager. The panelists discussed the main directions of Armenia’s foreign policy diversification, highlighting the need for parallel economic diversification. They also reflected on the implications of the Washington Declaration for the South Caucasus.

The event aimed to deepen students’ understanding of ongoing regional geopolitical developments and the foreign policy opportunities and challenges confronting Armenia.
