APRI Armenia Senior Research Fellow Benyamin Poghosyan visited the official 2026 NATO Summit, held in Ankara on July 7–8, for a series of high-level engagements.
July 7 | NATO Ankara Summit Dialogues
Benyamin participated in the Dialogues event organized by the Turkish Atlantic Council, which brought together around 200 international experts, academicians, and retired diplomats to discuss global geopolitics and geoeconomics and come up with practical suggestions for the way forward.
July 8 | “Routes to Resilience” Panel
Benyamin spoke at the panel discussion on “Routes to Resilience: Mapping the Middle Corridor, the Development Road, and the New Connectivity Agenda” co-organized by APRI Armenia and the Turkish Atlantic Council. The panel took place within the Munich Security Conference and SETA Foundation co-hosted “Allies in Ankara” official event hub for the 2026 NATO Ankara summit.
During the discussion Benyamin Poghosyan emphasized the necessity of full unblocking of the South Caucasus, including the opening of the Armenia–Azerbaijan and Armenia–Türkiye borders and the launch of the Gyumri–Kars and Yerevan–Nakhijevan railways as a necessary condition for ensuring the lasting peace, stability and security of the South Caucasus.
