APRI Armenia at the Comprehensive Security & Resilience International Conference 2025

At the Comprehensive Security & Resilience International Conference 2025, held on September 15–16, Anahide Pilibossian, APRI Armenia’s Vice President of Strategy and Development, led the discussion “Building Resilience through Armenia–EU Partnership: Opportunities and Challenges.”

The discussion featured Arman Yeghoyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the Republic of Armenia National Assembly, H.E. Vassilis Maragos, Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia, Dr. Markus Ritter, Head of the EU Mission in Armenia, and Lousine Hakobyan, Co-chair of the EU–Armenia Civil Society Platform.

The discussion took a multidimensional look at the benefits and limitations of the evolving EU–Armenia Partnership. Panelists reflected on the achievements of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) while also acknowledging the practical challenges of its implementation. They touched upon areas where progress is visible—such as reforms, governance, and security cooperation—while also noting the institutional and societal barriers that still need to be addressed.

By convening leading voices in government, diplomacy, civil society, and security, the panel reaffirmed the comprehensive nature of the Partnership, with many stakeholders involved, as well as the importance of ownership in realizing the Partnership’s full potential.
