Previously, he was an Advisor to the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, spearheading digital transformation initiatives and strategic economic policies. His expertise extends to strategic planning, policy formulation, and stakeholder engagement. He has also worked at the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST), the US Department of Commerce, and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services.

Verej holds a PhD in Public Policy (Foreign Policy) from Liberty University and an MSc in Quality Systems Management from Cambridge, New England College of Business and Finance. He is a Certified International Project Manager (AIPM) and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Juran Institute).
